The exam is next Friday (5th May).
You have to be in rooms S119 or S120 in the Gallowgate at least 15 minutes before the start of the exam.
Paper 1: 9:00 – 10:10
Paper 2: 10:30 – 12:00
Here’s a link to the floorplans of the Gallowgate if you want to see whereabouts this is.
So the prelim is on Monday. The times of the exam will be:
Paper 1: 6:00 – 7:10
Paper 2: 7:20 – 8:50
Here is a link to the prelim revision sheet I gave out on Monday. If anyone wants anything else to do then just pop me an email and I’ll pass on stuff for you.
So next week we have the Applications Unit Assessment (the week after being the prelim).
Here’s some stuff for you:
Applications Assessment Practice
Questions from the Board (which are all to do with the topics in the assessment)
I’ll put up some answers to the board questions (assuming I f1nish them) on Thursday when I do the extra class. For anyone interested – FG14 at 5:30ish. If you want anything else just send me an email.
So, next week we’ve got the Relationships and Calculus Unit Assessment. Here are some practice assessments and also the notes from the board for this week.
After we’ve got this unit assessment out of the way we’ll be concentrating on past papers – lots and lots of them. I’ll be in tonight at FG13 at 5:30ish if anyone wants to come in and go over some stuff (primarily differentiation and integration but I’m open to other thingies).
The stuff for the last couple of weeks is here.
We have looked at integration, although some of it was relatively brief so we’ll be going over it again in the near future. We also looked back at polynomials.
On the 27th February, we’re going to do the Relationships and Functions unit test. It covers Polynomials, Quadratics, Trigonometry, Differentiation and Integration – so we’ll be concentrating on those this week.
If anyone wants to come in tonight then I’ll do a revision thingy at 5:30ish in FG13.
This week was stunningly boring as we just did some differentiation revision.
The worksheet thingy is here.
By the way, past papers and answers are available if you click the link at the top of the page. I don’t know if many people have ever noticed that.
The notes for Monday are here.
I’ve included the past paper questions on differentiation too. I think on Monday we’ll probably just do some more practice on differentiation and maybe some general revision as well, rather than race on with integration.
Last week we did the unit 1 assessment and, this Monday, started on Differentiation.
You can see the stuff I’ve written on the board the last couple of weeks here.
Also, here’s some notes on basic differentiation, in case anyone wants some extra practice. We’ll continue with this stuff next week.
On Monday (the 9th of January) we’re doing our second unit test. The topics covered are:
- Logs and Exponentials
The Unit Assessment will be pretty darn close to this practice exam.
The last week before Christmas we went over this stuff, to make sure we’d covered everything we needed to.
On Monday, I’ll start by going over a practice assessment paper then we will do the exam. They will be pretty similar.
On Monday, we did some trigonometry.
Here is the notes from Monday and also some Trigonometry past paper questions, so you can see what to expect in the exam.
As well as that, if anyone wants some textbook questions to do just drop me an email and I’ll point you in the right direction.
